Charlton Heston and the Blast Beats is one of the many side projects Adam Young has been involved with. The group also includes Andy and Tony Johnson. The project, created in 2005, is largely humorous in that it is a merging of a recording of Charlton Heston, from the original Planet of the Apes film, yelling with the band while pounding on a drum set.
